UB Bowling Alley reopens to much fanfare
The UB Bowling Alley has taken center stage since its grand opening during Homecoming Weekend. President Laura Trombley opened the lanes with an inaugural re-opening speech, and seven sponsor lanes were dedicated during the event. Three hundred ninety-five games were played throughout the weekend with Sanjay Singh Bishnoi '20 and Atharv Sharma '20 winning the Homecoming Bowling Tournament Championship.
A bowling-themed event was one of the highlights of the O, Bridgeport! Arts Festival where students played on literary-themed teams to Broadway show tunes. Students and staff also celebrated the grand opening of the UB Bowling Alley on October 18 with an evening of food and free bowling.
The lanes were closed for almost a quarter-century. With student encouragement and two generous gifts, the completely refurbished lanes reopened in Septemeber for students and the UB community to once again enjoy.
The UB Bowling Alley is located on the ground floor of the John J. Cox Student Center. The beautifully restored alley features music, mood lights, electronic scoring and gutter bumpers for beginner players. Make sure to visit UB's newest campus attraction for a day or evening of fun and games.
